Install Guide

Download and Run The Sims 2 Starter Pack: Click the download link above and a new page will open, look for the section titled "Assets" toward the bottom, download "TS2StarterPack-WebInstaller.x64.exe" and open it when finished.
- If the Windows Defender SmartScreen box appears when you try to run the installer, choose "more details" and then click "run anyway".
- You do not need to make any special changes during the installation. The installer will download approximately 6.1 GB of game files automatically.
Graphics Rules Maker: During the installation of the game, a program called Graphics Rules Maker will appear automatically. This software will apply fixes to improve Sims 2 compatibility with modern GPUs and graphics hardware.
1. Ensure "The Sims 2" appears and is selected in the "Game" dropdown box.
2. Copy and paste this into the "Path" input field:
  C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 2 Starter Pack\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSBin
3. "Game found, video cards database loaded" should appear in green.
4. Click the button called "Auto-detect."
5. Click the button called "Save Files..." at the bottom-right.
6. You may be requested to manually move 4 files that the application generated into their destination folder. Just copy and paste the files from temporary to destination, overwrite if asked.
7. Click the "Device Info" tab. At the bottom, click the link next to "In Database", it should then say "Yes" in green.
8. Close the Graphics Rules Maker software.
Sims2RPC: During the installation of the game, a program called Sims2RPC will be installed. This software will apply fixes to disable game CD/DVD checks and provides additional settings and features.
1. Open the shortcut on your desktop called "Sims2RPC Settings."
2. Apply these recommended settings:
  - Window Mode: Borderless
  - Advanced: Checkmark "Apply 4GB Patch"
  - *Optional* Stuff:
    - Enable Smooth Camera Rotation
    - Unrestrict Zodiac Sign
    - Set Design Tool Cost to 0
    - Enable Discord Rich Presence if you want discord friends to see that you're playing Sims 2.
3. Click "Save Settings"
You're all done! To launch the game just open the Sims 2 shortcut that was created on your desktop.

Manual Installation

The Sims 2 Complete Collection (RAR Archive, 16.2 GB)

This archive contains all of the ISO discs, NoCD patches, and serial keys needed to perform a complete manual installation of the game, expansions, and content packs. It also includes Graphics Rules Maker, Sims2RPC, and shadows fix to be installed and configured manually.
